What I've Learned So Far - Summary 1

www.LifeAttract.com

I recently received an email from a reader, which states, "there is a lot of good content on your site, however, it involves a great deal of reading. Can you condense the content for easier access?"

At first I felt a bit frustrated because within each post exist numerous "nuggets of truth." However, upon further reflection and rereading of the posts I agree, in fact I recently wrote in my "about" page that the site should be read like a novel from start to finish. Unfortunately, I don't even have the time for that. I will begin providing summaries after every few posts.

Up to this point, I have been informed that reality, as I perceive it, is as I have conceived it.

You conceive your reality, as we are all aspects of One Mind. This is similar to the premise as presented in A Course in Miracles.

Furthermore, not only do we conceive what we experience, but we need to look beyond what the Law of Attraction proposes, since if we conceive our reality, then there is no "attraction" about it. Universal Consciousness is not from our concepts of "God" that we think we have an idea of, but always seem to disagree about whose idea is the truth, in fact, we go to war over it.

This Universal Consciousness is us.

We are that One Mind from which the world "unfolds." At first, I was excited about the Law of Attraction, which is another form of the Reality Creation Hypothesis that many esoteric religions advocate. But most identify God as "Universal Consciousness."

Jesus states that WE are that Universal Consciousness. In other words, you separated from God through conception of a ‘mind.' Then, you conceived many minds in further separation, but you continue to remain connected to One Mind and conceive a world from that Consciousness. I am told that God is not involved in our reality as our reality is not God "created," but mind "conceived."

God could not be present in our reality in any way because our reality is present only in, and from, our mind and God is not mind since mind presupposes limit. God has no such limits. God did not create mind, we conceived it as ‘real.' This speaks to the hell we have created.

This is a little hard to incorporate into my thinking, and possibly yours, because what Jesus is saying is that, as we begin to recognize ourselves as God, we will conceive of a better world, as we must, since what we have conceived is from fear and we do want change. The problem, as presented, is that we cannot change reality from the level of experience (history demonstrates this) but only from the level of origin, which is mind.

Realization of our capacity as God created, means realization of a world as conceived from "higher thinking." This concept of Higher Thinking has me a bit perplexed. However, Jesus does state that only in such thinking can we attain an "accurate" conception of "love." This conception of love should not be projected outward, but only inward, embracing our self only. From that, there is a natural projection to the world as the world is our own mind-invented concept. Everything in the world is an aspect of us as One Mind.

In other words, Jesus is stating that love of ‘self' should be the only starting point and that any thinking that allows you to experience love of self is applicable if it comes from Higher Thinking. Even the idea of making more money to enjoy a better life can be considered love of self, if it originates in Higher Thinking. Lower thinking involves greed, and this is self-loathing and will not change experience, but can only reinforce fear and the continuation of what you now experience.

This is just a brief synopsis, and I continue to recommend reading of the later posts to get better sense of what is being stated.

Keep aware that, like the Bible, these posts are being written by a human, from a human mind.

This is my interpretation of what I feel is being reported to me. But, it does seem to make sense and, as Jesus states, God is as logical as 1+1=2.

Any way, this is what I have learned so far and comments are appreciated.
I will continue to provide summaries in the future.

What's the most positive thing that religion offer?

Posted on Aug 29th, 2007 by mikeS : Ha! mikeS
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 29, 2007:

All paths lead to the same God, but all paths can lead away as well. Religion is as you like it and it's entirely your choice. Essentially, if you choose a religion to guide you to God, be prepared for that meeting to occur outside the church. This is called the church of the mind and you can go there anytime you choose.  I go there everyday.
